We had the joy of rescuing this sweet girl from the shelter on Feb 15th. Brielle came to the shelter as a stray and was understandably fearful and defensive. But watching her come to life during her freedom break was truly heartwarming.
Brielle had some hurdles to overcome. She was hesitant about having her neck handled and is a bit head shy. Her coat and behavior suggest she's experienced neglect and abuse in the past. But we believe in her inner Husky potential and were thrilled to receive kisses and love as she thanked us for her newfound freedom.
We are excited to see Brielle flourish in her foster home. She is an absolute love bug. She is a master cuddler and trusts her foster family completely in just a few short weeks. She was also a Rockstar when we had her groomed. Brie is so so sweet and follows her foster Mom around everywhere. She's a bit of a 'velcro' type dog.
Brielle is good with other dogs, too. But if given the choice she'd rather focus on the humans. She is mostly housebroken, although accidents should be expected during a transition, and she is crate trained, although she'll complain about it initially before settling in. We'd consider her to be high energy. She is not small animal friendly.
Brielle is approximately two years old, spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. She's currently located in MD, and we can arrange for her transport once she's ready for adoption.
Her eyes are simply amazing!
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
