Meet Malachi: The Husky with Heart!
At just 6 months old, Malachi’s journey began as a stray in a shelter. He was adopted but returned for being “too much puppy” and found himself on borrowed time. That’s when we stepped in to give this spirited boy a second chance.
Now a stunning 1-year-old, Malachi has grown into his striking gray coat and warm chestnut eyes. Neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, he’s thriving at our sanctuary and learning so much from his canine pals!
This energetic Husky boy is all about playtime and will need a home with other large breed dogs who share his love of fun and adventure. A secure, fenced yard is a must to give him the space to run and stretch his legs.
Huskies are known for their smarts and energy, and Malachi is no exception. He’s still young and impressionable, so he’d do best with an adopter who has experience with Huskies or, at the very least, large working breeds.
If you’re out of the house during the day, Malachi will need a midday dog walker or some time at doggy daycare to keep him happy and stimulated. He’s curious, friendly, and ready to be your loyal companion—but he’ll need your patience, ongoing training (house manners, crate training, etc.), and plenty of exercise to channel all that youthful energy!
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
