Meet Onyx

Onyx's story begins as a stray in one of our partner shelters. When no one came to reclaim her during her stray hold, we did. A special girl like her deserves nothing less than a bright future.
 

Now,  she’s settling into her foster home, winning hearts with her endless energy and boundless affection. Whether she’s romping with other dogs, soaking up human attention, or making waves (Literally! She loves to swim!), Onyx is all about living life to the fullest.
 

Her striking looks had us questioning her breed, so we DNA-tested her. The results? A 100% Siberian Husky with 110% personality!
 

At younger than two years old, Onyx is ready to find a home that matches her enthusiasm for adventure. If you’re looking for a high-energy companion who will keep you on your toes (and maybe drag you into the water), she's your gal. Onyx will need a forever home with other young dogs to play with. We'd really like to see her go to a home that has Huskies since her playstyle is true to the breed. She will need a fenced yard and BONUS if you have a pool!
 

Onyx is located in NC but can be transported for adoption within the Eastern US. She is spayed, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and microchipped. She is crate trained and housebroken.  

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
