Look no further, Rose should be your new best friend.
We rescued Rose and her 5 pups from a MD shelter a while pack. Her pups and they have found their own families. Now it's Rose's turn. And let us tell you, SHE is the real catch. Rose is simply amazing. She's approximately three years old and is a bi-eyed beauty with a smile that won't quit.
Rose has no handling issues and loves all people. She's a cuddler and loves to be in your lap. She is great with children and has been around them ages 2-15. She is very well rounded and doesn't startle or seem to be bothered by loud noises. We truly can't say enough good things.
Rose is a stunning lady that will stop you in your tracks! This affectionate beauty is ready to bloom in her furever home after facing some challenges along the way. Rose has recently returned to H-E-A-R-T after her initial adoption revealed she truly desires to be the queen of her castle.
Her previous adopters adored her loving personality but discovered their resident dog and Rose simply had different communication styles. This wasn't anyone's fault—just a mismatch that taught us more about what Rose needs to thrive!
She's already house-trained and knows several basic commands, making the transition to her next home that much smoother. Rose enjoys peaceful walks and cozy cuddle sessions, and she is simultaneously playful and laidback. Her maternal instincts are also second to none, as she finds joy in spending time with the human toddler in her current home. Rose bonds deeply with her humans and shows her loyalty by preferring to be the primary furry focus of attention in the home. This devoted girl wants nothing more than to be your #1 husky housemate!
Rose can be dog selective so if you have a resident dog in the home we highly recommend a meet and greet first. She's a dominant girl who has done well with other submissive, playful dogs but she certainly likes to be in charge. She would prefer a neighborhood where she doesn't have to meet lots of dogs while she's out walking, after all she is queen of the neighborhood and desires to be the sole focus of the humans.
Rose needs a yard where she can do her business. She's a proper lady who doesn't like to go while she's out in public. She is very food motivated and already has wonderful house manners. She is crate trained, house broken, moderately vocal and an epic cuddler. So what are you waiting for?
She's spayed, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and microchipped. Rose is in foster care in the DC area. Transportation can be arranged for an adopter in states along the east coast. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
